Personal measures
- Move quickly to the inside of a building or seek shelter under hail-resistant cover.
- Blinds and shutters can be protected against hail damage by opening/raising them.
Technical measures
- Agricultural areas and crops can be protected using small-mesh nets (known as anti-hail nets).
- Use of hail-resistant materials in the construction of houses.
