The Swiss National Platform for Natural Hazards PLANAT is an extra-parliamentary commission that provides consultancy services to the Federal Council. The 18 members of the commission represent the interests of various actors in the field of natural hazards. The President of PLANAT is Andreas Götz, Vice Director of the Federal Office for teh Environment, FOEN.

The PLANAT secretariat is affiliated to the FOEN.
