International Conference on Infrastructure Resilience

ETH Zurich

Resilience is still an emerging concept today, and the FRS aims to forge and further develop the concept of infrastructure resiilence at this inaugural international conference.

The International Conference on Infrastructure Resilience aims to bring together scientists, policy makers, and infrastructure professionals to share the latest knowledge on infrastructure resilience.

Resilience is still an emerging concept, and the FRS aims to forge and further develop it through this platform. Resilience enables systems to provide flows of services, even if assumptions about the environment or system’s behaviour become invalid. We therefore associate resilence with 'enabling systems to bounce forward'.

Infrastructure systems are a compound of engineered, operating organisation, and user subsystems, which we will address from a socio-technical systems view in this conference.
